Funeral services for Mr. Willard Brimer, age 84 of Quebeck, will be conducted 11:00am Saturday, February 1, 2020 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Sparkman Cemetery. He passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 at his home. Mr. Brimer was born October 20, 1935 in Spencer to the late Carl Brimer and Cleo Simmons Brimer. He worked for Scepter Hardwoods in Sparta for 44 years and later retired from White County Lumber Company. In addition to his parents, Willard is also preceded in death by his first wife Ethel Brimer, brother George Brimer and sister Estell Brimer. Mr. Brimer is survived by his Wife of 24 years: Ianthisa “Ann” Brimer; Children: Tammy (Douglas) Goolsby, Sandra (Shane) Cooper, Randall (Rachel) Duncan, Michael Duncan, Willie Joe Brimer; Grandchildren: Nicole (Jason) Knoxville, Kaylah (Jerry) Smith, Ashley Dorton, Jazmine (David) Babenko, Katherine (Gregg) Bruce, Danielle Duncan, Morgan Ann Richards, Anthony Duncan, Joey Brimer, Jeremy Brimer; Great-Grandchildren: Jaythen Rogers, Jeshua Smith, Nicali Smith, Leiara Dorton, Alona Dorton, Jacqueline Dorton; Brothers: Edward, Carl (Heather), Buster (Dot), Houston (Betty), Jimmy (Debbie), Larry Dale (Lisa), Joe (Bessie), Dwight (Helen) Brimer; Sisters: Margaret (Harold) Scott, Beatrice Mitchell; Sister-in-law: Evie Hale Brimer; Mr. Brimer also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well. Funeral services for Lillie Mae Hitchcock Finley Jager, age 88, of Cookeville will be held Saturday, February 1st, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Presley Funeral Home with Pastor Dow Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Nash Cemetery in White Co.. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1, 2020, 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon at Presley Funeral Home. Lillie Mae Jager passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at her home in Cookeville, Tennessee surrounded by her loving family. She was born Tuesday, January 19, 1932 in Morton County, Kansas to the late Samuel Bradley Hitchcock and Elizabeth Nash Hitchcock. She was a retired cook from Capshaw Elementary School and former employee of L.E. Vickers and Associates. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Alpha Finley and Junior Jager; children, Jim Finley and infant daughter, Kathy Sue Finley; grandson, Brian “Christopher” Finley; 15 brothers and sisters. She is survived by 3 sons, Roger (Kathy) Finley of Algood, Brian Finley and Brad Finley, both of Cookeville; 8 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service for Phyllis Ann Burem, 76, of Cookeville will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020, at 12:00 pm from the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. She passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at her home. Phyllis was born October 23, 1943 in Cookeville, Tennessee to the late Chester Adams and Ola Mae Adams. Phyllis was a loving Daughter, Mom, Nana, Honey Bunny Nana, and Friend. She was very dedicated to her career and was a very strong woman. Phyllis was loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed. Phyllis is survived by, Granddaughter, Chealsea Burem and Great Grandson, Jaden Christopher Burem. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by, Son, Christopher Adams Burem; Grandson, Zack Adam Burem. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Jimmy Lloyd Stafford, 82, of Michigan and formerly of Cookeville, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. He passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, in Michigan. Born August 5, 1937, in Gainesboro, Tennessee, Jimmy Lloyd Stafford was the youngest of five boys born to Comer Eldrige Stafford and Ersie Ann Patterson. With his father working in Michigan, Jimmy lived in both Tennessee and Michigan throughout his early years, until finally settling in the north, working for General Motors. During one of his many travels back home, he met the lovely Katherine Scott, who he married just three months later on December 21, 1959. Survived by his wife, Mary Katherine Scott, of 60 years and older brother John Landen Stafford (Doris), Jimmy lovingly leaves behind two children: Belinda Ellsworth (Chris Goosman) and Jeffrey Stafford (Kathy), eight grandchildren: Tiffany Ellsworth, Aaron Ellsworth, Drew Stafford, Ethan Stafford, Emma Stafford, Annaliese Stafford, Olivia Goosman and Gabriel Stafford and two great grandchildren: Sydney Cogswell and John Cogswell. Preceeding Jimmy in death are his other three brothers: Joe Stafford (Florence), Comer Jr. Stafford (Theresa) and Billy P. Stafford (Betty). Jimmy also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends who are located throughout Tennessee, Kentucky and Michigan. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services.

Funeral services for Steven Layton Cox, age 60, of Baxter will be held Saturday, February 1st, 2020 at 3:00 PM at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints with Stake President David Day officiating. Interment will follow in Judd Cemetery in Baxter. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 31, 2020, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Presley Funeral Home, and Saturday, February 1, 2020, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints. Steven passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee. He was born Friday, March 20, 1959 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Layton Elmo Cox and Patricia Ann Barriger Cox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Eugene Cox. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joanna Cox; 3 children, Brian Cox of Cookeville, Rebecca Cox Bohannon of Cookeville, and Summer Cox of Baxter; 2 grandchildren, Spencer Cox Allen and Camden Denny; 6 siblings, David (Penny) Cox of Cookeville, Cindy (Lloyd) Elrod of Baxter, Tennessee, Teresa (David) Johnson of Livingston, Tennessee, Robert Cox of Rickman, Tennessee, Angee Randolph of Baxter, Tennessee, and Amanda Cox of Hilham, Tennessee; mother in-law, Frances Netherton of Baxter, Tennessee; sister in-law, Stacie Netherton and partner, Matthew Thomas of Huntsville, Alabama; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Orvie Ruth Little Barnes, age 91, of Allons will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, February 2, 2020 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Rev. Damon Corley will officiate. Burial to follow in the Miller Cemetery. Mrs. Barnes passed from this life on Thursday evening, January 30, 2020 from the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving daughters. Born in her parents home, in Allons on July 3, 1928 to the late Verdie G. & Nettie Langford Little. Orvie was a 1947 graduate of Livingston Academy and a member of the Fredonia Methodist Church. Orvie had a wonderful childhood and loving sister who lived close by, her whole life. She loved and played basketball in school. She married the love of her life, Mr. J. Bruce Barnes, and started her family. Orvie enjoyed gardening, canning and working outside on her family’s farm, from working in hay to milking cows. She was always the first up early of a morning, getting breakfast started and getting everyone ready for their day of work. Orvie loved growing hybrid irises and won many competitions with them. She made all of her girls’ clothes and enjoyed watching them play basketball in school and cherished going to all of their games. Her girls were her joy, helping them as children and as adults in any way she could. Orvie also enjoyed traveling all over going to antique malls with her girls, planning each trip and always bringing her picnic basket full of goodies. She also made wonderful works of art with her needle and thread. Mrs. Orvie Ruth, leaves behind her loving daughters, Brenda Copeland & husband Jerry of Lebanon, and Carol Ann Wells & husband Gary of Crossville; granddaughter, Leslee Stewart & husband Justin of Nicholasville, KY; great-granddaughter, Gwendolyn Stewart of Nicholasville, KY; sister, Sadie Maynord of Livingston; and sister-in-law, Alva Dean McDonald of Livingston. In addition to her parents, Orvie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, J. Bruce Barnes, her triplet grandsons, Jeremy Bruce Wells, Chad Henry Wells, and Scott Eugene Wells; and granddaughter, Sara Ann Wells. The family will welcome friends on Saturday evening from 5 until 9 p.m., then on Sunday from 12 noon until time of services.

Funeral services for Carl Anthony Richard Lehman, age 86, of Cookeville will be held Monday, February 3rd, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Presley Funeral Home with Pastor Roger L. Lehman officiating. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery with US Navy Honors. Mr. Lehman passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. He was born Saturday, November 4, 1933 in Los Angeles, California to the late Earl Anthony Lehman and Marguerite Griffith Lehman. Carl was a retired Auto Body Repairman at Bob’s Body Shop. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Scarlet A. Lehman; daughter, Karen R. Lehman. He is survived by his 3 sons, Roger L. Lehman of Rickman, Tracy A. Lehman of Cookeville, and Chad E. Lehman of Cookeville; daughter, Yvonne K. Holland of McMinnville; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 2, 2020, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM and Monday, February 3, 2020, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Presley Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Bryant, age 87, of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m. Monday February 3, 2020 in the Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Joe Roberts will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery. Mrs. Bryant passed away Wednesday January 29, 2020 at her home. Her family will receive friends Sunday from 1 – 3 p.m. and again Monday from 12 noon until service time.

Funeral services for Mr. Herbert Lee Smallwood, 74, of Gainesboro, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, February 3, 2020, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in the Fairview community of Jackson County. He passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro. He was born August 3, 1945, in Crossville, to the late Hugh Smallwood and Sarah Mahaney Smallwood. He was married to Ida Norris Smallwood, who survives. He worked as a factory worker and painter in the boating industry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Steven Smallwood; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his Wife: Ida Norris Smallwood of Gainesboro; 5 Sons: Timmy Smallwood, Ray Smallwood, Troy Smallwood, Chad Howard, and Terry Howard; 1 Brother: Glenn Smallwood; 2 Sisters: Sylvia Murphy and Carla Rector; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services.

Funeral services for Wanda Denise (Byrd) Miller, 64 of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2020, beginning at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with interment to follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. She passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. Wanda was born Saturday, April 30, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late William Byrd and Annie (Crenshaw) Byrd. She is survived by her 4 children: Sons: Lethaniel Byrd and Valerie (Orum) of Cookeville, LaShon Marquis Miller and Shirley (Veal) of Savanah, LaMahr Matthew Miller and Melody (Sims) of McDonough, GA; Daughter: LeAndra Michelle Johnson; 7 Grandchildren: Literrius Miller, Melhik Miller, Melachi Miller, LaMahr Miller Jr, Landyn Miller, Harmony Miller, LaSahon Miller, Jr.; 3 Sisters: Brenda Glodean Henry, Alecia Yovonne Stubbs, and husband Gregory and Letitia Lynn Hippolyte and husband Ephesus; 2 Brothers: William Byrd Jr and Suzzette (Harvey) and Darryl Quentin Byrd, Sr and Helena (Johnson); 1 Aunt: Laura Crenshaw; 1 Uncle: Robert Crenshaw and wife Gloria; A host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, February 4, from 11:00, am until time of service at 1:00 pm.
