Driver Crashes On 40 After Falling Asleep

A Sevierville man faces charges after falling asleep and crashing his vehicle in Cumberland County Friday.

The accident happened on Interstate 40 eastbound at mile marker 313.

A crash report said 19-year-old Tyler Brackins was traveling in the right lane when he fell asleep and rear-ended a tractor trailer. The Tennessee Highway Patrol said his Subaru Outback spun counter clockwise, left the roadway, and came to a rest off the left shoulder facing West.

No one suffered injuries during the crash.
