A vehicle struck a bicyclist on Highway 70 in Putnam County Monday.
Authorities identified the occupant of the bicycle as Richard Copeland. He suffered minor injuries and received treatment at a local hospital.
The accident happened around 6:05 p.m. near the Echo Valley Pool.
Putnam County Sheriff Eddie Farris said the accident occurred when the vehicle attempted to turn onto the highway. While making the turn, Farris said the vehicle struck the three-wheeled bicycle, which did not have any reflective lighting.
Authorities did not file any charges or issue citations as a result of the accident.
