A Sunday crash in Cumberland County claimed the life of a Monterey man.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol identified the deceased as 79-year-old Del Epps.
Officials said the accident happened on Highway 70 North when Epps attempted to turn left onto East Cove Road. A crash report said Epps’s Toyota Corolla pulled into the path of a southbound Buick, driven by 69-year-old Terry McBroom of Cookeville.
McBroom did not suffer injuries during the crash.
