A vehicle struck and injured a juvenile bicyclist in Overton County Monday.
Officials said a medical helicopter airlifted the 8-year-old to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the accident happened on Lone Valley Road.
According to a crash report, 76-year-old Larry Dale Keisling was traveling South when his Hyundai Tuscon struck the child as the bicycle entered the roadway.
The report did not indicate if state troopers filed any charges. The juvenile’s condition remains unknown.
