Putnam County authorities located 55-grams of methamphetamine during a drug investigation at a hotel Sunday.
Cookeville Police Officer Michael McDonald charged Marshall Irvine Douglas with manufacture, deliver, sell, or possession of meth. He left the Putnam County jail after posting $3,000 bond.
Officer McDonald came in contact with Douglas while conducting an investigation at the Red Roof Inn. An arrest report said the officer searched a room and found one baggie containing approximately 55-grams of a clear crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine.
The report said a search of Douglas’s personal items revealed a set of digital scales, baggies, and hypodermic needles.
