Putnam Inmate Charged For Having Knife In Jail

A Putnam County inmate faces charges for bringing a knife inside the jail.

Deputies found the weapon two days after Holly N. Morgan landed behind bars for aggravated criminal trespass. An arrest warrant said the 32-year-old Morgan tried passing the knife off on Wednesday in exchange for commissary money.

She allegedly had the knife concealed in her bra upon entering jail, but switched it to her underwear while dressing out.

Morgan faces a charge of introducing contraband into a penal facility. She has a $15,000 bond and a court date scheduled for Sep. 9.
