Two people face charges after Algood Police discovered marijuana and methamphetamine during a vehicle search Thursday.
Officers arrested Holly Morgan and River Pomeroy after conducting the search at the Walmart parking lot.
A press release states police approached a suspicious vehicle and spotted the suspects inside on top of each other.
The officer woke the individuals up to check their welfare and spotted a burnt marijuana cigarette on the floor. According to the release, Pomeroy proceeded to eat the cigarette before both were removed from the vehicle.
A search revealed nearly three pounds of marijuana in separate bags, a small amount of meth, and multiple drug paraphernalia items.
Morgan and Pomeroy are being held at the Putnam County Justice Center for possession of meth and simple possession of marijuana. Morgan’s bond was set at $11,000. Pomeroy faces an additional charge for tampering with evidence with bond set at $20,000.
