TWRA Participating in ‘Operation Dry Water’

The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA) will participate in the national Operation Dry Water campaign next weekend.

A press release states the operation is directed toward reducing the amount of alcohol- and drug-related boating accidents along state waterways during the Fourth of July holiday.

The TWRA is partnering with the U.S. Coast Guard and National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) for the operation.

According to the release, state officials made nine arrests for boating under the influence in 2018.

Operation Dry Water kicks-off Friday, July 5 and runs through Sunday, July 7.
