Critical Injuries Reported In Putnam County I-40 Crash

The Putnam County Rescue Squad has responded to an accident involving serious injury on I-40.

Putnam County E-911 reports the crash occurred in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 270 in Buffalo Valley.

E-911 Director Brandon Smith said two patients had to be flown from the scene in critical condition.

As of 5:30 p.m., rescue squad members were working to extricate one of the patients from a vehicle.
