Algood officer search a vehicle involved in a shoplifting incident Friday. That search revealed a felony amount of meth, which resulted in the arrest of two people.

Two Arrested After Meth Bust In Algood

Algood Police arrested two Alabama residents after locating a felony amount of methamphetamine during a traffic stop Friday.

Officers located a number of items commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Police issued promotion of methamphetamine charges to Jessica Juarez and Nicholas Johnson.

Officers conducted the traffic stop in the Speedway parking lot after receiving reports about a shoplifting incident at Walmart.

A press release said officers searched a 2018 Dodge Challenger and located ingredients to make meth, including lithium batteries, hot/cold packs, drain cleaner, and butane. The search also produced paraphernalia, marijuana, and a felony amount of finished meth product.

Juarez and Johnson were arrested and booked into the Putnam County Jail. The Algood Police Department seized the vehicle due to its use to transport felony amounts of narcotics.
