Contract Approved For New Manager Mills

The Cookeville City Council approved a contract for new city manager James Mills Thursday night.

Mills’ contract includes a $140,000 annual salary. He will be subject to an annual performance review conducted by the city attorney. The city council will be involved in the review.

Mills will take office July 1, taking over for departing city manager Mike Davidson. Mills said Davidson had been invaluable to him during the last several weeks of transition.
