No injuries occurred when a vehicle caught fire on Highway 111 in White County Sunday afternoon.
The incident happened in the Southbound lanes between the O’Connor and Hamptons Crossroad exits.
According to Tennessee Highway Patrol Lieutenant Jimmy Neal, a 2002 Corvette caught fire on the side of the roadway. Authorities closed both lanes of the highway until crews could extinguish the fire.
Neal said no injuries occurred and the roadway reopened around 4 p.m.
