A Tuesday evening crash in Fentress County claimed the life of a Jamestown man.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol identified the deceased Wednesday as 67-year-old Ronnie Smith.
The crash happened when Smith failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Wes Baldwin Road and Highway 127. A THP crash report said Smith’s 1988 Buick crossed Highway 127 and was struck in the passenger side by a 2001 Ford, driven by 39-year-old Amanda Dunn of Pikeville.
The collision injured Dunn and two of her passengers identified as 27-year-old Jesse A. Dunn and 19-year-old McKinley B. Rich.
The report indicates that Smith may have consumed drugs and alcohol prior to driving.
