CRMC Accepting Bids For Cumberland River Hospital

Cookeville Regional Medical Center is accepting bids for the former Cumberland River Hospital in Celina.

CRMC CEO Paul Korth told Cookeville City Council last month that the organization plans to sell all of its Celina assets as a single package.

“I think our first step is going to be that we will package everything – the land, the building, the medical assets that are inside – everything except the working capital… send that out as a request-for-proposal to have people bid on the whole operations,” Korth said. “If somebody wants to buy the whole operation as it is, we’re going to make one last-ditch effort to sell the operation as it is.”

Cookeville City Council voted to surplus the hospital property last month after the facility closed March 1.

Bids will be accepted through April 22 before the organization’s executive board meeting April 25.
