A computer outage is causing issues with scheduling appointments at Blood Assurance.
Cookeville Blood Assurance Account Manager Trudy Cody said the outage has prevented appointments from being made online and over the phone, but locations are still open and accepting blood. Phone lines are also down, but hospitals are calling cell phones to place stat orders.
Cody said the organization is working diligently to resolve the issue.
Blood Assurance will reach out to partners at Blood Center of America if needed, according to an organization Facebook post.
