McMinnville Fred’s Pharmacy One Of 159 Stores Closing

Fred’s Pharmacy in McMinnville will soon close following a corporate announcement Thursday.

According to the company’s website, 159 stores will close across the country, including 23 Tennessee locations.

Fred’s managers in Sparta and Monterey confirmed their stores were not included in the closures and will remain open. Livingston store management referred to a corporate spokesperson for comment, but were not included in the company’s 23 closings.

Fred’s released a statement saying the stores that will close were under-performing with a focus on locations with shorter leases.
