Billy Joe Nix is charged with violating the sex offender registry after he failed to report his registered address.
A Cookeville man will appear in court later this month for violating the sex offender registry and his community supervision.
Tennessee Department of Corrections charged 45-year-old Billy Joe Nix after he failed to report his registered address by March 21st. State law requires registered sex offenders to report within 48 hours of establishing or changing a primary or secondary residence.
The Tennessee sex offender registry database lists Nix’s current address as 4167 Cowan Road and his secondary address as 3820 Ensor Hollow Road.
Nix was arrested on March 27th and later posted a $15,000 bond.
His initial court date is scheduled for April 29th.
