A Nashville man died after crashing his motorcycle in Smith County Wednesday.
The crash happened on U.S. Highway 70 West.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol on Thursday identified the deceased as 50-year-old Michael Ferguson.
A THP crash report said Ferguson lost control of his 2016 Honda motorcycle while negotiating a left turn. Ferguson traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a speed limit sign.
The report indicates Ferguson was wearing a helmet at the time of crash.
