Overton County Executive Ben Danner has declared a state of emergency due to severe flooding across the area.
Overton/Pickett E-911 reports officials have been in contact with Tennessee Emergency Management to assist with flooding issues.
Bradford Hicks Drive near the Highway 52 intersection remains partially closed due to high water. Overton County Schools have already closed for Friday, Feb. 22.
Crews across the county have used pumps to help alleviate some flooding issues ahead of additional rainfall this weekend.
Several roadways in Livingston and throughout the county have experienced high water since the first round of heavy rain Wednesday.
