A Carthage woman will appear on national television this week as a contestant on ‘Wheel of Fortune’.
Leah Bane said she was excited to be selected for the show after auditioning in Nashville.
“When I first auditioned, I never thought they would pick my name so it was just such a blast to get on stage the day of the Wheelmobile,” Bane said, “and to get called back for second-round auditions was awesome. Of course, getting to go to Los Angeles and film an episode of Wheel of Fortune was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
Although she can’t release details of the episode before Friday’s airing, Bane said she enjoyed the trip and getting to meet show hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White.
“Pat and Vanna were both so sweet, so kind, and just really great to all the contestants,” Bane said. “My mom went with me to LA to film, and it was just such a fun girls’ trip. It was such a blessing to get to go out there and make a trip out of it, to get to watch them film other episodes of ‘Wheel of Fortune’ as well as my own.”
Bane serves as an Economic Development Planner for the Upper Cumberland Development District. She will appear on this Friday’s episode at 6:30 p.m. on News 2 WKRN-TV.
