An Alexandria man will appear in court later this month after being arrested on DUI and child neglect charges.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office reports 29-year-old Ralph Edward McIntyre, Jr. was arrested earlier this week after being found unresponsive in his vehicle.
The incident report states McIntyre was found on West Main Street in Alexandria with the vehicle in gear and running while his foot was on the brake pedal.
A 10-month-old child was discovered in the passenger seat of the vehicle as well.
McIntyre admitted to authorities he had snorted Klonopin and later performed poorly on field sobriety tests.
Authorities booked McIntyre into the DeKalb County Jail on $7,500 bond. His first court appearance will take place on Feb. 14 at the DeKalb County Courthouse.
