A Friday morning house fire claimed the life of a Jackson County man.
Jackson County Fire, EMS, and law enforcement responded to the blaze near the 2000 block of Shepardsville Highway around 10:00 a.m.
Upon arrival, crews found a single wide trailer with heavy smoke coming out of it.
Jackson County EMA Public Information Officer Derek Woolbright said firefighters made entry into the residence and found a single victim.
The unidentified man was treated and transported by Jackson County EMS to Cookeville Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The Tennessee Fire Marshal’s Office is currently on scene to assist local authorities with the investigation.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
