Boilers Down At Cookeville High, Officials Monitoring Temps

Temperatures are being monitored at Cookeville High School after the boilers stopped working Thursday.

Assistant Director of Schools Corby King said the parts needed to fix the issue won’t arrive until Friday morning.

King said the average temperature in the school is staying in the 60s and despite the cooler temps, students and teachers are doing fine. Classes being taught in the cooler parts of the building are being allowed to move to warmer areas.

King said school system officials will decide Thursday evening if Cookeville High School will be closed or open on Friday.
