A two-month investigation has led to the arrest of a man in connection with numerous thefts in the area.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department (JCSD) reports deputies pulled over Eric Ferguson this week during a traffic stop on Hudson Creek Highway.
The deputies questioned Ferguson and found he had stolen several antique items from North Springs and Macon County residents since November.
JCSD reports the items will be returned to their owners with some dating back to the 1800s.
Ferguson faces seven felony counts of burglary, seven counts of misdemeanor theft, and one count of theft.
A statement from JCSD indicates more arrests are expected stemming from the investigation.
