A Monday morning fire on Gibbons Road near Cookeville is under investigation.
Putnam County Fire Chief Tom Brown says crews were called to the residence around 3 a.m. to fight the blaze.
“There was one occupant at home at the time. They discovered the fire and left the residence,” Brown says. “The cause is still under investigation at this time.”
Brown says the one person inside the home escaped without injury. The residence is deemed a total loss.
