An indoor pool may be in store for McMinnville residents.
City Administrator Bill Brock said the idea will be the next step in a project to remodel the McMinnville Civic Center.
“That’s something that’s really had a lot of interest here in the community,” Brock said. “Once they (the board) get the finals on the remodeling, the next step will be looking at the use of an indoor pool for competitive swimming and therapy.”
Brock said the facility would more than likely be a separate building tied to the civic center.
“We’ve been calling it phase two of the civic center project because there has been a lot of interest in this,” Brock said.
The remodeling project at the civic center will hopefully get underway by the end of this year.
