Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested two people in connection with drug activity Wednesday at the Highway 56 Motel in Bloomington Springs.

The Sheriff’s Department reports Joseph Flatt and Brandi Vickers face several charges after attempting to flee authorities.

The report indicates deputies recognized the two for having outstanding arrest warrants out of Putnam County.

Both Flatt and Vickers tried to evade arrest and ran from the scene, trying to destroy evidence in the process, before being captured by authorities. Deputies were also able to recover large amounts of methamphetamine, digital scales, and other paraphernalia.

The two were officially charged with possession of meth with intent for resale, possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence, and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia.
