A commercial vehicle accident shut down part of Highway 52 in Clay County Thursday and left the driver injured.
Tennessee Highway Patrol officials said the tractor trailer overturned at Highway 52 near New Hope Road.
The driver, 55-year-old Timothy Nolte of Pleasant Shade, suffered non-life threatening injuries an received treatment at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
A THP crash report said Nolte lost control while negotiating a curve and over corrected. The vehicle began to rotate and rolled over, causing the trailer to lose its load of compressed lumber.
According to the report, charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
