Within 15 minutes, the Crossville City Council approved every item on its agenda, presented awards and adjourned.
In one fell swoop, the governing body approved 10 agenda items. And with another vote, they approved four others.
On third and final reading, the council approved an ordinance to amend Crossville Municipal Code 10-202 regarding the humane restraint of dogs.
On second reading the council approved an ordinance regarding spending $25,000 on dog-park equipment. It also approved on first reading an ordinance regarding open burning.
The council voted to authorize the purchase of a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 4×4 for the police chief. They likewise approved proposals for cable TV and broadband services, and Clean Agent Fire Suppression for the server room.
Mayor James Mayberry explained the council had discussed each item during a recent work session. He assured those in attendance the council’s decisions were not made frivolously.
