Junior Roberts, age 70 of Silver Point died suddenly Thursday November 8, 2018 at his home. Arrangements are incomplete.

A Memorial service for Paul Michael Ryan, age 38 of Sparta, will be held at Thurman Funeral Home on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:00 am. Paul passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loved ones, on Monday, October 22, 2018, after a long extended illness. Paul was born in Troy, Ohio to Glenn Ryan and Mary Kathleen Moore on November 20th, 1979. Paul is survived by his daughters Rylee A. Ryan and Madison A. Ryan; step-daughter, Ali Hollensworth; mother, Kathleen Moore; brother’s, Alan Ryan and Raymond Ryan; sister, Stephanie Winterfeld (Dan), Christina Perkins (Matthew), and Veronica Aguirre (Jamie); nieces, Sarah Ryan, Bethany Perkins, Raina Ryan and Miranda Ryan; nephews, Simeon Coppola, Dylan Winterfeld, Jacob Ryan and Victor Ryan. Special friends and family include Diana Gray (Moore), Charles Moore, numerous cousins, and their families. Family will receive friends at 10:00 am on November 10, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Thurman Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Emma Hutchison Mullins, age 64, of Livingston will be conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, November 10, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Fellowship Cemetery. Mrs. Mullins passed from this life on Tuesday evening, November 6, 2018 from the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born in Overton County on July 5, 1954 to the late James & Ada Sells Hutchison. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mary loved having a garden, going to yard sales, and listening to country music. Her favorite passed time was with her grandchildren. She leaves her son, Eric Mullins & wife Kristi of Livingston; grandchildren, Kaleb Mullins, and Hailey Mullins; sisters, Mary Dean Winningham of Livingston, TN, & Joyce Shoemake of Indiana. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Shirley Hutchison, and John Ford; sisters, Nova Stover, and Dean Beason. The family will welcome friends on Friday evening from 2 until 8 p.m.

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Lois Creason, age 73 of Sparta, will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 10, 2018, in the chapel of Oak Lawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10am until 2pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Ronnie Taylor and Denise Creason will officiate. She passed from this life on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at her residence. Born Thursday, November 30, 1944 in Sparta, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas Anderson and the late Lela Mae Norris Anderson. In addition to her parents, Mrs Creason was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William Phillip Creason; her daughter, Sherry Renee Creason and a sister, Ann Smith. She was a member of the Lansden Church of Christ. She loved her family and she loved to mow her yard.

Funeral services for Mr. Perry H. Hensley, age 93, of Livingston will be conducted 3 p.m., Saturday, November 10, 2018 from the chapel of the Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Michael Graff will officiate. Burial will be in the Martin Cemetery. Mr. Hensley passed from this life on Thursday morning, November 8, 2018 from the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Perry was born January 13, 1925 in Overton County to the late Roy & Ova Kennedy Hensley. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Perry loved growing flowers and painting pictures of Iris’s and Day Lilies. Perry leaves his sister-in-law, Hauda Hensley of Livingston; nieces, Janie Copeland of Cleveland, and Helen Maszeras of Akron, OH; nephews, Tommy Hensley of Cleveland, Timmy Hensley of Cleveland, and Jim Neely of Akron, OH; special caregivers at Lucy Lane in Cookeville; and several friends and relatives. In addition to his parents, Perry was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Hensley; sister, Mozelle Kinner; brother, Clyde Hensley. The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 3 p.m.

Funeral arrangements for Major General (retired) David L. Evans age 68 of Wartrace will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Horse Mountain Church of Christ with Mark Pierce officiating and 4:00 pm Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home in Baxter, TN. Burial will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors. General Evans passed from this life Wednesday night, Nov. 7, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Visitation will be held prior to both services Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 2:00 pm. Born September 11, 1950, in Detroit, MI he was one of 8 children born to the late Charlie William & Cleo Robinson Evans. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by: son, Jeremy Todd Evans; siblings, Charles Jr. Evans, and Reba June Rayburn; and two infant siblings. Major General (retired) Evans began his military career in the U.S. Marine Corps (4 years) and then the U.S. Army (41 years), he finished his service at the rank of Major General. His last military assignment: 2005-2008 Commanding General, 80th Division (Institutional Training) and 80th Training Command (TASS) Richmond, VA. He was a member of VFW, American Legion, DAV, Marine Corps League, Military Officers Association, and a faithful member of the Horse Mountain Church of Christ.

A memorial service for Mrs. Doris Elaine Brown, age 65 of Sparta, will be held at 4pm on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Black Oak Church of God with Richard Key officiating. Mrs. Brown, age 65 of Sparta, passed from this life on Thursday, November 1, 2018. Born Sunday, September 13, 1953 in Springfield. she was the daughter of the late Marice Suter and the late Emeley Dorris Suter. Mrs. Brown was a member of Black Oak Church of God for many years. She was a Sunday school teacher and a good friend to all. Mrs Brown’s surviving family members include the following: husband – Melvin Brown; sons – Brandon James and Brandon Dewayne of Sparta; sisters – Valerie Porter, Sandy Suter and Annette Suter; granddaughter – Kassidy Hubert; nephew – Joshua Porter of Cookeville; nieces – Emily Southwick of Cookeville and Mackenzie Suter of New York. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was proceeded in death by a brother, Thomas Suter. A period of visitation with the family will be held prior to the service from 2pm until 4pm at the church.

Services for Mr. Bobby Joe Arney, age 83, of Livingston will be conducted 3 p.m., Sunday, November 11, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bobby Joe “Bob” passed from this life on Thursday evening, November 8, 2018 from the Livingston Regional Hospital after a short illness. Bob was born March 25, 1935 in Overton County Tennessee to the late Stanley and Claudine Melton Arney. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Livingston. Bob proudly served his country in the Korean conflict, and during the Vietnam War and later in the National Guard retiring with a total of 24 1/2 years. Reaching the rank of Sgt-1st class. Bob was Proud of his military service after retiring Bob was co-owner of the Gulf station with his brother Ray. He also had other jobs until his full retirement. He enjoyed working in his yard, loved birds both tame and wild. He was a gun enthusiast and was a mark shot. Bob loved a good practical joke. He spent a lot of time with his dog buddy. With all of his traveling during service he still loved traveling. Loved his travels out west and in Alaska. He loved his children, 3 grandchildren, and his 8 great-grandchildren. Bob loved to have his great-grandchildren spend the night in the “campbed.” Bob leaves his loving wife, Linda Buford-Arney of Livingston; daughter, Debra Easterly of Moss; sons, David Arney & wife Gail of Rickman, and Sam Arney of Cookeville; 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; his youngest sister, Janice Arney Hawkins of Fairbanks Alaska; several nieces and nephews and several special friends. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his 1st wife the mother of his children, Lyndel Winningham Arney; brothers, Ray, Ed, Jerry Kenneth, and Bill Arney; sister, Lucille Arney. The family will welcome friends on Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of services.

Memorial services for Brittany Nicole Wiggins, 30, of Gainesboro, will be held at 3 P.M. on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. She had chosen cremation. She passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born May 23, 1988, in Cookeville, TN, to Carlen J. Wiggins, Jr. and Tammy Hunter Wiggins. She worked as an LPN. She was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents: Carlen J. Wiggins, Sr. and Ina Wiggins; 2 Uncles: Robert Spurlock and George Spurlock; and her Step-Father: Jackie Allen. Survivors include 2 Daughters: Daneisha Highland and Ayla Wiggins, both of Gainesboro; her Parents: Carlen J. Wiggins, Jr. of Whitleyville, and Tammy Hunter Wiggins of Gainesboro; her Maternal Grandparents: Billy Hunter and Sammie Hunter of Gainesboro; 2 Brothers: Carlen J. Wiggins, III of Whitleyville, and Dakota Allen of Gainesboro; 2 Sisters: Victoria L. Wiggins of Whitleyville, and Kyra Shephard of Gainesboro; and Special Friend: Janie Marie Porterfield of Whitleyville. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 Noon until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Brittany’s children by contacting the funeral home.
