Livingston Man Appointed Public Defender in Child Rape Case

A judge has appointed a public defender to represent an accused child rapist in Livingston.

28-year-old Earl Pike Jr. is scheduled to appear in general sessions court Nov. 15 on one count of rape of a child.

Arrest warrants indicate Pike told investigators with Livingston Police that he incident occurred in the seven-year-old girl’s home while he was dating the girl’s mother.

Pike reportedly admitted to investigators of multiple instances of child rape involving the seven-year-old girl and other children within the home over the past year. Pike was arrested Oct. 25 and booked into the Overton County Jail on $500,000 bond.

Livingston Police are looking into other potential cases of child rape based on Pike’s admissions to authorities.
