A Cookeville man will appear in court next week after being arrested in connection with a September burglary in DeKalb County.
DeKalb County Sheriff Patrick Ray reports 33-year-old Jesse Warden faces several charges after breaking into and stealing several items from a business on Smithville Highway.
The incident occurred Sept. 11 when Warden and his accomplice – 36-year-old Rebecca Lynn Hembree of Cookeville – broke into JBeez Watercraft. Warden broke a window valued at $2,000 when the pair stole an iPad, eight handheld radios, and $1,000 cash.
Warden is charged with two counts of vandalism, and one count each of theft of property over $1,000, burglary, and possession of burglary tools.
Warden is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 15 and is being held in DeKalb County on $45,000 bond. Hembree was released on bond and has already appeared in court.
