Tornado Confirmed In White County Monday

The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF0 tornado touched down in White County during Monday’s round of severe weather.

A statement from the NWS on Wednesday said damage occurred at Upper Cumberland Regional Airport and included mostly tree damage. A few storage containers and outbuildings also sustained damage.

Specifics, such as start/end times and start/end locations, will be released later this afternoon.

The NWS has confirmed a total of eight that hit the mid-state late Monday night into early Tuesday morning.
