Cookeville Couple Charged With TennCare Fraud

Putnam County authorities have arrested two Cookeville residents for attempting to sell prescription drugs acquired through TennCare.

A Putnam county grand jury has indicted Jeffrey Lynn Bradshaw and his wife Wendy Michelle Bradshaw on charges of TennCare fraud.

The indictment alleges that Wendy Bradshaw obtained the painkiller Oxycodone during a visit to a healthcare provider with a plan for Jeffery Bradshaw to sell a portion of the drugs.

District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway will prosecute the case. TennCare fraud is a class D felony punishable by up to four years in prison.
