The son of an Upper Cumberland broadcasting veteran passed away early Tuesday morning in a car accident.
Mark Bilbrey, son of Grand Ole Opry announcer Keith, was driving in severe weather when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a column of an I-40 overpass.
The 39-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials say Bilbrey was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.
