The citizens of Doyle have selected Ray Spivey as their mayor in the only contested race in White County Tuesday.
Spivey defeated challenger Wayne Kress to earn his second-consecutive term as mayor.
More than two-thirds of all votes went to Spivey, who received 114 ballots in his favor compared to Kress’s 53.
All six candidates for the town’s alderman race were elected onto the board Tuesday. Connie Yates Spivey led the way with 125 votes, edging Timothy Brock for the top spot by three votes. Jerry Rogers, Raleigh Barger, Carolyn Poole, and Dwayne Simmons were also elected.
