Late Sunday night, as Cumberland County deputies approached a suspicious vehicle parked outside a business on the 300 block of West Avenue, two men emerged from the building.
After one of the men, 47-year-old Jimmy Lynn Barnwell of Crossville, began behaving strangely and dropping things on the ground, a search turned up drugs and drug paraphernalia. Barnwell admitted the crystalline substance deputies found on him was meth.
Barnwell was jailed on charges of felony manufacture, sale or delivery of meth, plus possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of a Schedule IV drug. His bond was set at $26,000 and a court appearance is scheduled for December 3.
