Livingston residents could have the opportunity to watch city government meetings online.
Mayor Curtis Hayes said it’s part of an effort to update the conference room at city hall.
“Currently we don’t have a PA system and we can’t live stream our council meetings,” Hayes said. “We’re just looking at some possibilities on what routes we can go to better serve our community and the folks that want to see their public officials at work.”
Hayes said a few residents have contacted city hall asking about the inability to live stream city council meetings.
“We’ve had some calls about it. I wouldn’t necessarily say a high demand, but I think once it’s up and running you will see a high usage of it,” Hayes said.
No vote will be taken on purchasing the necessary equipment at this time. Hayes said the city council will continue discussions in the near future.
