Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on the 100 block of Fawn Loop Saturday evening for suspected drug activity. There they found 48-year-old Troy Alan Noll, who had in his possession five and a half Hydrocodone pills and a bag of marijuana. On the hood of a car in the garage were a dozen zip-top bags of pot and a set of electronic scales. Noll claimed to have eight to 10 customers to whom he’s been selling marijuana for over a year, and has been bartering marijuana for Hydrocodone pills. The home is located within 1,000 feet of Stone Elementary School.
Because the house is shared by multiple residents, three deputies and a lieutenant were only able to search common areas and Noll’s bedroom. K-9 Rocko was deployed to assist in the search, which turned up additional bags of marijuana and an amber-colored waxy substance believed to be derived from marijuana. Noll also had $129 in cash on him, which he claimed was proceeds from the sale of pot. He reportedly admitted netting $1,600 a pound for selling pot, adding he derives a substantial portion of his income from the sale and delivery of marijuana.
Noll’s wife claims she and her husband use approximately a gram of marijuana per day, and her husband usually has at least an ounce on him at any given time.
In all, deputies seized slightly over 13.5 ounces of marijuana.
Noll was arrested and placed under $260,000 bond. His court date is set for November 5.
