New Chocolate Factory and Shop Opens in Spencer

A new chocolate factory and shop have officially opened in Spencer in the form of Arete Fine Chocolates and The Little Chocolate Shop.

Owner David Senk, along with his wife Leslie, recently moved their chocolate operations from California to be closer to family while expanding their business.

In a statement, David Senk said the retail portion of the company will be a first for them. The Little Chocolate Shop will feature a small menu consisting of small deserts such as cookies, brownies, chocolate bars and barks, and bon-bons.

Senk said the Arete Fine Chocolate brand will consist of the factory, creating single origin fine flavor chocolate bars.

The couple’s business is located in the Haston Block Building on Veterans Square in Spencer.
