The National Weather Service will send a team to Fentress County Thursday to determine if a tornado touched down in the Muddy Pond area early Wednesday morning.
Overton County Emergency Management joined Fentress County officials in the area just after midnight after residents reported hearing what sounded like a train coming through the area.
Upon arrival, officials found a home at 1870 Campground Road off its foundation with trees down. Overton County EMA officials said all the trees appeared to be blown down in the same direction. No injuries were reported.
