THP Reports No Injuries in Tuesday I-40 Crash

An Illinois man was cited for not having his drivers license following a crash on I-40 Tuesday morning.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports 40-year-old Alvin Lovell was travelling eastbound near Cookeville when he ran off the left side of the road and struck a cable barrier around 9:15 a.m.

The report indicates the vehicle came to a rest in the median. 34-year-old Amanda Hollis and an 18-month-old child, also from Illinois, were in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

An initial statement from the THP indicated injuries were reported in the accident, but no one was transported to the hospital for treatment.
