Authorities arrested an Allons man on several charges following a joint effort by Cookeville Police and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
Jordan Lee Seber, 32, faces multiple charges, including two counts evading arrest, and driving on a revoked or suspended license. Seber was also arrested on outstanding CPD and PCSO warrants, including two counts failure to appear, tampering with evidence, and criminal impersonation.
According to CPD Captain Bobby Anderson, authorities responded to a shoplifting call at the South Willow Walgreen’s Saturday afternoon. Officers found the vehicle identified by employees in the parking lot, with Seber in the driver’s seat. A police report indicates the vehicle was stolen with Florida tags.
Seber then drove off from the parking lot, leading authorities on a pursuit through Cookeville onto I-40 where the pursuit ended due to weather conditions and Seber’s driving actions.
Authorities later discovered Seber at the intersection of North Willow Avenue and Jere Whitson Road, where he then ran from officers into a small patch of woods, where he was apprehended and arrested by CPD and PCSO. The stolen vehicle was not located in the area where Seber was arrested.
Seber is being held at the Putnam County Jail on $27,000 bond.
