A decision on the Dogwood Park Pedestrian Bridge is on hold after Cookeville’s Leisure Services received details on a bid late last week.
City Manager Mike Davidson removed the decision from the City Council agenda Thursday evening so officials could examine the bid further.
The lone proposal submitted to Leisure Services was by Adams Contracting in Lexington, Kentucky. Leisure Services Director Rick Woods reached out to the owner but was unable to contact him Sept. 14 or 17.
The city will look over the additional details and will discuss the project further in the future. The city’s next work session will take place Monday, Oct. 8 with the next council meeting on Oct. 11 at 5:30 p.m.
