Rocky Barlow, Age 58, Of The Sunk Cane Community Of Overton County, Passed Away On Wednesday, September 12, 2018, At The Livingston Regional Hospital In Livingston. Funeral Arrangements Are Incomplete.

Mrs. Helen Wyatt, age 82, of Cookeville, passed away Tuesday evening at NHC of Cookeville. Arrangements are incomplete.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Jean Meredith, 70, of Gainesboro, will be held at 7 P.M. on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. The family has chosen cremation. She passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018, at Life Care Center of Sparta. She was born February 4, 1948, in Detroit, MI, to the late C.J. Mabery and Barbara Jean Gale Mabery. She was married to Don Meredith, who survives. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Jo Ann Ledbetter and Frances Dee Mabery. Survivors include her Husband: Don Meredith of Gainesboro; 2 Daughters: Cheryl Flatt of Gainesboro, and Dawn Meredith and Jessica Eaton of Sparta; 3 Stepchildren: Chris Meredith of Cookeville, Cory Meredith of Cookeville, and Carrie Sumnik of MI; 11 Grandchildren: Brooklyn Burris, Cheyenne Collier, Austin Winningham, Janelle Michels, Elizabeth Sumnik, Alexandra Sumnik, Nicholas Sumnik, Iggy Sumnik, Donna Meredith, Caelon Eaton, and Calie Eaton; 2 Great Grandchildren: Briella Hix and Silas Hix; 2 Brothers: John (Barbara) Mabery of Gainesboro, and Kenneth (Cindy) Mabery of Cookeville; and 1 Sister: Sandy Haney of Gainesboro. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 P.M. until time of services.

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Faye Massingille, age 55 of Allons, will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 1 PM from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Overton Co. Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Massingille passed from this life on Tuesday morning, September 11, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Massingille was born in Livingston on December 31, 1962 to Betty Bilyeu Stamps and the late Luther Washington Stamps. Betty was formally employed at Stover’s Country Kitchen which she loved working there for Scott and Patricia Stover. Betty will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors: Mother: Betty Stamps; 1 Brother: Ricky Stamps and his wife Jean; 3 Sisters: Tina Dixon and her husband Bruce, Rita Daniels and her husband Adam, Rachel Stamps and Jacob Carmack; A host of family and friends also survive. Preceded in death by: Husband: Johnny Massingille; Father: Luther Washington Stamps; 1 Brother: Luther Stamps, Jr.; 2 Sisters: Kimmy Bilbrey, Veachel Kay Stamps. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 13, 2018 starting at 5 PM until 9 PM.

Funeral services for Joan McCulley, age 84, of Cookeville will be held Friday, September 14th, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Pastor Clint Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Shipley Cemetery. Joan passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at her home in Cookeville following extended illness. She was born Saturday, May 19, 1934 in Silver Point to the late John Harris and Aline Henley Harris. Joan will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church for over fifty years. Joan made many friends while working at Wilson Sporting Goods, Oster and Russell Stover Candies. In addition to her parents, Joan McCulley was preceded in death by her brothers, Bob Harris, Dillon Harris, John Harris, Jr., Billy Harris, and Larry Harris. She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Jere McCulley; daughter, Terri (Ronald) Laycock of Cookeville; son, Ronnie (Jennifer) McCulley of Baxter; grandchildren, Mitchell Brown and Casey McCulley; great-grandchildren, Emma Brown and Jayden Western; sister, Linda Harris of Cookeville; sisters-in-law, Mildred Williams of Cookeville, and Barbara Joiner of Harriman. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 13, 2018, 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM and Friday, September 14, 2018, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Presley Funeral Home.

Visitation for Cynthia Mary Grosklaus, 61 of Cookeville, will be held at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home in Cookeville from 4:00 – 6:00, Friday Sept 14th, with a public prayer service to follow. A Private Family Service and Internment will be at a later date. She passed away at her home with Family after a long battle with Cancer. Cindy was born in New Haven, CT to the late Clayton & Virginia Finer. She married Mike Grosklaus in 1985 in New Haven, CT where they lived for 18 years. Cindy worked for Seton Name Plate Company and Bic Company in Customer Service until the birth of her first child. She and Mike moved to Cookeville in 1999 where Cindy was active in many local activities. Cindy had a Brain Tumor removed in 2000 and with the help of many Prayers and great Doctors she fought and survived well past most expectations. She always had a positive attitude and refused to give up. She is survived by her husband Mike and Children James of Cookeville, and Katie of Nashville. She has 2 Sisters Lillian Staron and Virginia Budeit & her Husband Mark Budeit that still reside in the New Haven CT area. In lieu of flowers, the Family asks that you make a donation to the Cookeville-Putnam County Animal Shelter.

Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Donna M. Clay Wilson, age 67, of Allons will be held 4 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2018 from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Steven Barlow will officiate. Mrs. Donna Wilson passed from this life on Sunday evening, September 9, 2018 in Monroe. She was born March 10, 1951 in Loganville Georgia. Donna worked as a cashier at Tractor Supply. She enjoyed working in her rose and flower garden, she also loved animals. Donna leaves her husband, Robert Thomas Wilson; step-daughter, Carol Wilson, Susan Curtis and Lisa Moore; half-brother, Richard; and half-sister Gay; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family will welcome friends from 3 p.m. until time of services at the Livingston Funeral Home.

A memorial service for John C. Pearson, 70, of Cookeville will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Cane Creek Baptist Church with Brother Jim McAfee officiating. Mr. Pearson passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at Bethesda Health Care in Cookeville. He was born Sunday, February 22, 1948 in Cookeville to the late John Willie Pearson and Minnie Ella Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother in law and two nephews. Mr. Pearson is survived by his wife, Helen Harris Pearson; three sons, John Pearson Jr., Thomas Pearson, and Jonathan Pearson; two daughters, Dixie Pearson and Emily Pearson; two stepdaughters, Charlotte Sanders and Donna Harris; five grandchildren, Blake Pearson, Ashley Greenlee, Michael Pearson, Amber Greenlee, Allyson Wright; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Polly Martin; and one nephew, Stacy Martin.

Funeral services for Ann Mellema, 73, of Gainesboro, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. The family has chosen cremation. She passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born June 21, 1945, in Wadesboro, NC, to the late Fred H. Terry and Jessie Mae Terry. She was married to the late Dean Mellema. She was an LPN, and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Edmund Robins; and 2 Sisters: Girtie Ann Lawhon and Donna Cassidy. Survivors include 1 Son: Charles D. Brown II of Gainesboro; 2 Daughters: Lori Rush of Gainesboro, and Katherine Naidenoff of Gainesboro; 1 Stepson: Robert (Remonia) Mellema of Cookeville; and 7 Grandchildren: Jacob Brown, Caleb Brown, Chris Brown, Justin Hurt, Joshua Scantland, Rachel Mellema, and Justin Long. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 10 A.M. until time of services.

Memorial services for Patricia Levenne Dillon, age 69, of Cookeville, will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday September 22 at Holladay Church of Christ. Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate. Mrs. Dillon passed away Sunday morning September 9, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends Saturday September 22 from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.
