Cookeville Man Charged Following Armed Robbery

Cookeville Police arrested a 20-year-old man following an armed robbery on Broad Street early Monday morning.

Horace Nunley, of Cookeville, faces one count aggravated robbery and is currently being held at the Putnam County Jail on $50,000 bond.

Authorities responded to a robbery around 12:40 a.m. at The Market on the corner of West Broad Street and Pippin Road.

According to CPD, Nunley entered the store with a bandana over his face and threatened a clerk with a handgun. The release indicates Nunley then left on foot once the cashier gave him the money.

An investigation by CPD led to the arrest of Nunley at his residence. Officers were able to recover a firearm and the money stolen from the store.
