Kentucky Man Injured By Boat Propeller Monday

A man from Kentucky suffered serious injuries Monday after falling from a moving pontoon boat on Center Hill Lake.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency said the vessel’s propeller struck 21-year-old Connor Boyle after he fell off the front of the rental pontoon.

Boyle’s injuries required him to be airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment. His condition and extent of his injuries remain unknown.

TWRA officials said Boyles was not wearing a personal floatation device at the time of the incident, which remains under investigation.

TWRA officers responded to the call just after 3:00 p.m. along with Dekalb EMS and the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers.
