Thomas R. Lasher (Tom) – 68 yrs old of Gainesboro, and formerly of Lowell, IN, was called to rest after his battle with cancer. He was born on September 22, 1949, and passed on August 22, 2018. Tom was survived by his two Daughters: Wendy Lasher of Orlando, FL and Tammy (Brad) Mooney of Dix, IL; Sister: Jo-Anne Engelke of Midlothian, IL; and Girlfriend: Carolyn Smith of Cookeville. He was preceded in death by his Father: Thomas J. Lasher; Mother: Florence A. Lasher; Brother: Darrell Schofro; and Sister: Jean Manrique. Visitation will be held at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home on Saturday, August 25, 2018, from 5 P.M. – 8 P.M. Services will be held at a later date at Sheets Funeral Home in Lowell, IN.
Celebration of life for David Joseph Palmer, 35 of Crossville, will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM in the chapel of Thurman Funeral Home. David passed away on August 21, 2018 in Crossville. David was born in Cleveland, Tennessee to William Palmer and Linda Black on May 5, 1983. He is survived by his wife, Angel Palmer and son, Jaxon Palmer; his parents, William Palmer and Linda Black; In-laws, Teresa and Terry Bailey, Terri Bailey, Heather Bailey and Billy Young, Johnny and Carleen Smith, Brittany Smith and Johnny Smith. Funeral services for Mrs. Elva Jean Ayers, 79, of Hilham, will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in the New Hope community of Jackson County. She passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Signature Health Care in Putnam County. She was born September 12, 1938, in Overton County, to the late Lee Evins and Martha Evins. On January 31, 1955, she was married to the late Elmer D. Ayers, who passed away October 27, 2016. She was a homemaker, and a member of the New Hope Community Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Terry Ayers; 1 Brother: James Evins; 1 Sister: Hassie Willard Griffin; and 2 Nephews: Tim Evins and Richard Griffin. Survivors include 2 Sons: Steve (Sharon) Ayers and Mike (Tina) Ayers, all of Hilham; 1 Daughter in Law: Debbie Ayers Farmer of Knoxville; 5 Grandchildren: Chris (Melinda) Ayers, Brad (Andrea) Ayers, Penny (Billy) Cummins, Mandy (Casey) White, and Brandon Ayers (Karla Ayers); 10 Great Grandchildren: Mitchell Ayers, Samuel Ayers, Carson Walker, Colin Ayers, Cameron Ayers, Emma Grace Ayers, Corey White, Ashton Ayers, Tessarae Faith Cummins, and Dalton Cummins; 1 Nephew: Stoney Evins; 1 Niece: Donna Burton; and a Special Niece: Judy Johnson. Funeral services for Sunny Adair Davis, 6 months of age of Sparta, will be held at 2pm on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Donald Haston officiating. Burial will follow in Jericho Cemetery. Sunny passed away shortly after noon on Thursday, August 23, 2018. He was born on Friday, February 9, 2018. Sunny is survived by his loving parents, Matt and Rachel Davis and a beautiful sister, Layla; grandparents, David and Janie McBride, Les and Regina Davis; great-grandfather, Pete Walling; aunts and uncles, Megan McBride Dodson and Patrick, David Davis and Sherry, Pete Davis and Tammy, Elaine Coats, and Michael Davis; and many cousins. Clarence DeLoach officiating. He passed from this life on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. George was born Tuesday, November 26, 1935 in Randolph County, Indiana, he was the son of the late William and Adiline (Barrett) Reitenour. George proudly served in the United States Army and was in the Korean War. He was a loving husband, loving father, and amazing PaPaw. Beechboard, age 59 of Hilham, will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 2 PM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Aaron Chapel cemetery in Overton County. Connie passed away at the Livingston Regional Medical Center on Tuesday night, August 21, 2018. Connie was born on July 7th, 1959 in Livingston, Overton Co., TN. She attended the Aaron Chapel Church. Survivors include: Husband: Wayne Beechboard; 2 Sons: Chad Wayne Beechboard and wife Lisa, Andrew Beechboard and wife Hannah; 1 Brother: Dewey Masters and wife Pearl; 1 Sister: Jenny Conner and husband John; 1 Niece: Karen Wright and husband Jason; 6 Grandchildren: Lily Beechboard, Parker Beechboard, Cole Beechboard, Jon Hernandez, Dylan Carbaugh, Tyler Spencer. Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born April 4, 1964, in Indianapolis, IN, to the late Hiram Booker Napier and Mary Jane Napier. She was married to Paul Adcock, who survives. She was a homemaker.

Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Penny passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. She was born Wednesday, October 13, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to the late James Thomas Allison and Maudie Virginia Lee Allison. Penny was a member of Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ. She enjoyed her birds, chipmunks, rabbits, and squirrels. She fed them all and enjoyed watching them eat. She is survived by: beloved son, Dale Pennington of Cookeville; beloved sister, Joyce (Rickey) Holland of Cookeville; sister-in-law, Geneva Pennington Roberts of Maryville; special nieces, Rhonda Lee of Cookeville, and Melissa Hodges of Maryville; special great nieces, Alli Sparks and Grace Tomsic; special great nephew, Drew Sparks; special friends, Dewey and Kay Thrasher. Maude was born Monday, July 5, 1920 in Jackson County. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Victoria (Jared) Holmes. Maude was a hard worker all of her life and loved to take care of the elderly. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. Jason was born Sunday, March 27, 1977 in Gainesboro, he was the son of David Robert Winfield and Jeanne (Trudel) Winfield. Jason was a loving son, brother, husband, dad, and friend. He was loved by all that knew him. Donald leaves his beloved of 36 years, Faye Anderson of Livingston; daughters, Alisa Eldridge of Livingston, and Rhonda Roberts & husband Allen of Livingston; grandchildren, Alison Mason, Adrian McGill, Aleia Eldridge, and Braydon Eldridge; great grandchildren, Evie and Luie Mason; sister, Frances Martin of Knoxville; step daughter, Amanda West & husband John of Livingston; and several neices and nephews. A Celebration of Life Gathering for Diedri “De” Sue Carlin, 73, of Cookeville, will be Saturday September 1 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the River Community Church. De passed away suddenly Friday morning August 17, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born April 22, 1945 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Harlan and Donna Seright Updegraff. De was an Registered Nurse for 44 years, having worked at Cookeville Regional Medical Center for eight years prior to retirement in 2016. She was a member of the River Community Church and loved to spend time with her friends, the “River Chicks.” She and husband Jerry were members of the Pistons Car Club. De is survived by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Carlin of Cookeville, who she married December 6, 1980 in Atlanta, IL; daughter, Kimberleigh (Robert) Davis of Huntington Beach, CA; brother, Harlan Updegraff III of Granville; five grandchildren, Luke, Matthew and Andrew Davis of Huntingon Beach, Cody Dodd of Cookeville, and Lyndsay Dodd of Dublin, GA; nieces, Sarah Hollar of Anaheim, CA, Christie Roberts of Colorado Springs, CO, and Amanda (Drew) Lyndsay of Athens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Jerri Lynn Dodd; and step-son, Michael Carlin.
