A Cookeville man will appear in court next month after being arrested twice in a four-day period.
Christopher Cunningham, 33, faces several charges including reckless endangerment, burglary, domestic assault, and vandalism. His court date is set for Sept. 17.
According to arrest warrants filed Friday, the charges stem from two separate incidents.
The first incident occurred Aug. 7, in which Cunningham broke into a woman’s home via a basement window and shoved her. He was then arrested by Cookeville Police and charged with vandalism and aggravated burglary but wasn’t charged with domestic assault until Aug. 12.
The second incident occurred Aug. 11 following the Wine on Westside event in Cookeville. Arrest warrants indicate Cunningham was drunk when he attempted to leave the event with two others in the vehicle. Cunningham then struck a fixed object twice in an attempt to back the vehicle.
According to the arrest warrants, two women were in the vehicle at the time of the second incident. One told the arresting officer she didn’t want to say anything to Cunningham since he was irate. Cunningham was charged with two counts reckless endangerment and one count reckless driving.
